My friend Corinna is just getting into U2, but I have noticed, the last few times I have been in her car, that she is just listening to a tape of selections from All That You Can't Leave Behind. So, I decided to make her a U2 tape representing their entire output. However, as I was compiling a list of suitable songs, the theme shifted slightly as I thought about her, and her current circumstances, so that the tape ended up still being a U2 primer, but more specifically one containing two types of songs: analysis of unstable love; and frustration at a static life coupled with a yearning to see the world. Simple!

The tape I used is a ninety minute one (forty-five minutes per side).
