okay, so the deal is that i realized this morning that i had missed a friend's birthday by something like two weeks and therefore rushed to get something in the mail to her. that means i used stuff from mixes i recently made or already had on my hard drive (too lazy to actually rip songs? jeez...). anyway, the goal was to introduce her to the goofily perverse magic that is eilert pilarm (no, he is not retarded. yes, he is a swedish elvis impersonator). as we spent our last visit together in bars lamenting her boy troubles, i filled in the rest with country-tinged odes to whiskey and loneliness (which is always a nice thing to put on a birthday mix for someone, don'tcha think?)
