Comment:
With Volume III, this joint recaptures the full authority of the original. The cornerstone of the mix is "Give Me Just A Little More Time" (Chairman of The Board). This is easily one of the most underrated R&B refrains. Dean Martin lays down "When You're Smiling/Lady Is A Tramp" (live from Chicago in 1963) in high Rat Pack fashion - an anthem to chronic inebriation. Speaking of the Chairman of the Board, Sinatra's "One For My Baby (And One More For The Road)" is beyond doubt - the best saloon song ever (taken from one his best shows ever, "Live At The Sands"). All and all, the perfect accessory for a martini, but never - I mean NEVER - order a martini at Lyle's (a Vodka tonic, with a twist, will have to do).
