Comment:
a little hard bop sumpin sumpin from my extremely skimpy jazz collection. somehow, this mix has the feel/emotional arc of a night out drinking in wintertime: starts out light, fun, and conversational, but by the time betty comes along it's a bit wistful and full of nostalgia for days gone by. the miles version of "summertime" coupled with "autumn leaves" has one of those "i'm a little too drunk for my own good and thinking about my old flames while riding the subway home" vibes going on. anyone know that feeling? luckily, the last two tracks perk up a bit as our hero the lush stumbles home through the snow, wishing it was springtime already....Feedback:
Nice shit. We apparently have pretty similar taste in jazz, my friend...
you may have a "skimpy" collection but it's still a mix mix!
ah...the esteemed "Jazz" category again raises its lovely head...hit that Jive, Jack!
very nice...very cruisy
this is a very alive mix, i am impressed, keep it up!
