mix made for my friend charles, who is in the middle of directing a play on jackie o. he asked me if there were any punk-ish songs about her, and tracks 1,4,7, and 8 were all i could really come up with. couldn't resist adding a dk song in there, and this one happens to have the same title as a screenplay of his that's in development (casting now, shooting in a few weeks). we used to work with somebody with the last name of mota. cassavetes is his favorite director. he's got a monstrous fixation on the 80's. he was born and raised in manhattan. that should explain most of the picks on here. oh yeah, i threw a jackie-o motherfucker song in there but i know he's not going to like it much.Feedback:

There was a mid-80s art-damaged Chicago band called Ono who hAd a tune called 'O Jakie O'. Now that you've sparked that dormant synapse, maybe I'll use it on an upcoming mix.

I know this doesn't fit the timbre of your mix, but I feel compelled to put in a word for Mellencamp's "Jackie O". Why do I have this strange obsession with heartland rockers (so called)? Beats me, although at least I haven't gotten into Seger yet.
