Comment:

This began as a heartbreak mix for JR, but as I took longer and longer to complete it, the "utter doom and loss" theme became less urgent/necessary, though still perfectly prevalent.

Where'd you get that Franklin Bruno track? I'd love to hear it!

Victor -- FB's label, Absolutely Kosher, has a promotional compilation out called "Kvelling" that you can get for free by joining their mailing list. It's on there. I'm pretty sad that the release of Franklin's new CD has been pushed up to June, but from the few tracks on it that I've heard live, it'll be _well_ worth the wait.

Ooh. Nice Mt. Goats and Extra Glenns picks. Ending with that Robert Blake thing is effectively creepy, as well...

Creepy? Are you thinking I included an audio bit from one of the fine actor RB's films? Naw, it's just a song from a friend of mine who shares his name -- check him out; he's pretty good.

Yeah, I thought it was from one of his speeches in "In Cold Blood". :-) Sorry. And I forgot to salute the Songs: Ohia, as well, along with Flashpapr, Ida and (guilty pleasure song coming up) Jane's picks.
