Comment:
I found this mix when I working at a donation site for a thrift store. It was kind of sad to see something that meant so much to someone just tossed in a bag and given away, at least they didn't throw it away. Maybe it was donated by accident. The tape was made during the winter of 95 and 96. On the inside the person who made the tape wrote, "this mix is for two of my favorite people in the whole world. i don't say that lightly. thank you both for allowing me (for the first time ever in my life) to express myself as a healthy, happy, and normal human being. thank you for making me feel adult, mature, responsible, and above all else--happy. thank you for a wonderful first semester. I love the two of you more than words can be asked to express -- more than you will ever know, thank you both for always being caring, loving, supportive, educational, fun, considerate and beautiful, thank you for being my friends, you two make life worth living." wow, that's alot to write in a mix-tape. anyway, I just wanted to show this meaningful mix to others. sorry if this was alot to read
Feedback:
This one is nice as well, although I imagine the creator was not the same as the one who did the other mix. Obviously this person was hip enough to own a copy of Liz Phair's Girlysounds and some other cool records. Thanks for including the enclosed comments. They were quite touching. But what's up with the pretty boys on the cover?
strange huh? it must have been an accident! unless one of the two special people got pissy with the author and threw it out...although, for true getting back at a mixtaper- nothing hurts more than seeing one of your mixes being taped over!! i love those cowboy junkies songs
Might as well say it here too...you should check out www.foundmagazine.com
What a find!
