mix to trade for ion's awesome awesome fantastic fantastic "girl got a hemorrhage" mix. this one kinda wanders all over the map while never straying too far from a certain poppy new wave giddy goofy springtime let's have fun-ness. i think i drank too much caffeine before i started writing this. yikes. anyway, some quick notes: that airport girl track has some skips and stutters in it, but i like the way it sounded so i kept it. it seems to fit. etienne charry does springtime frog pop like few others. ion introduced me to the pop tarts from his int'l girlie pop mix, which everyone should own. lo-fi's "badder badder" mix prompted me to rediscover the equals. that prima donnas track is so cool and fun it's ridiculous. a snarky, cheesy new wave dance number about... basketball? rock. one of three austin bands. "drum rock" is "the hand clapping song" (which was on ion's mix), only cut up and spit out by a buncha loud japanese garage rawkers, if you ask me. lakespeed's crucial slampt comp is responsible for a number of things on here. cover minus birds equals cy twombly inverted.
