Comment:

This mix was made for my friend Gabriel Cervantes, who recently sent me a wonderful mix featuring some of the artists on Enoch Light's Command Records. Light, a pioneer in stereo and quadrophonic sound, started the label in 1959, and released lots of weird percussive, over-the-top, sound effects-laden records with partner in crime Dick Hyman, amongst others. This mix was inspired by Gabriel's tape, but includes more current stuff. Only the Enoch Light song comes from the Command label.

Is your friend related to Gabriel Garcia Marquez and the Cervantes who wrote Don Quioxte? This looks quite freaky. I dig those swingin' sounds!
