Comment:
Inspired a little by Rob's recent brilliant Prog mix,although there are a couple of distinctly un-prog type things here, these are songs which have been floating around in my head of late. I wondered what they might sound like together on a cd, so here we are. The Bevis Frond are well worth checking out for those of us with a prog/psych leaning.Feedback:
                                    Somebody's synapses are firing tonight! Husker Du->Dr. John! Wishbone Ash! Uh oh! Dogs are barking to go out...bye.

                                    Nice mix, Gerry. I agree about the Bevis Frond, genius stuff.

                                    "squeezing spomges over policemen's heads/fohat digs holes in space" you can't do songs with titles like that, what's next Tales of the rings mixes ? Harry Potter best of ? ;D

                                    BTW Henke Larsson is king, 2 goals against Nigeria

                                    oof, that's a tough one, Gerry . . .

                                    As a snapshot of your "synaptic" firings I'd say they spark far and wide around the twinned convolutions! ;-{}

                                    This looks *great*! And Peter, that Gong medley is phenomenal--probably their best, actually. Gerry, I *promise* that your stuff will be in the mail soon...

                                    WOW I havent seen 'No Quarter' on a mix yet by it self. Nice mix

                                    Though I can never get behind use of Steely Dan in any context, this looks pretty great! Long live Prog and its bastard sons!

                                    I'm not a huge fan of Steely Dan either, Sean, but I like this track and it seems to fit in well here.

                                    Yeah, Sean's against Steely Dan and their great pop sense, apparently. I'm a well-known champion of their 70's work, along with "Hey Nineteen" in the 80's. Anyway, *I* like the tune, Gerry. :-)

                                    Wow! I wasn't aware of the anti-Dan sentiments of Mr. Lally.....ouch...

                                    Ooh, this is sweet. Helped immeasurably, by the inclusion of my favorite Roy Harper tune.

                                    whoa, old-school Marillion. If you like Forgotten Sons, there's a very good (i.e. better than the studio one) version on the "Real to Reel" live album from 1984.
