Ye Olde Folk N Blues
Comment:
Hello Everyone. It's been a long time since I posted a mix. Had a difficult year, as you probably all know, but I am back in the swing of things and would like to take this opporchancity (great word, from that great Scottish comedian Ricki Fulton) to thank you all for your friendship, kindness and support, while I was off the scene. To everyone who sent me something, or just sent me their best wishes, I owe you lots. I am eternally grateful, and count all of you among the very best friends I have ever had, and I mean that truly.Back to business, this is a collection of lesser-known and criminally underrated or forgotten artists from the late 60's and 70's (mostly). As the title suggests, from the folk and blues scene of the golden era. Track 13 suggests where my head's at most of the time, especially in a musical sense, and the closer indicates my ethos all of the time. Love and peace to everyone. enjoy!

Feedback:
Let me be the first to say "Welcome back, my friend." The fact that the mix is absolutely first-rate gives me even more reason to do so. I owe you an e-mail, for sure.
Welcome back Gerry. Your presence, mix-wise and other, has been sorely missed. AotM hasn't been the same in your absence. A splendid mix here from start to the end. Keep 'em coming and be well.
I agree with Curtis!
Gerry - SOOOO glad to see you back in action. We've missed you here. Great mix to signal your return, too! 2006 will be the year of the McDonald, I predict.
What they all said, Gerry. Good t'see ya' back, doin' that mix thang!
Great stuff, welcome back!
Great to have you back, Gerry. AOTM isn't the same without you. Hope you're a strong presence in 2006, because we want to see more AOTM (Art of the McDonald)
Welcome back Gerry! It's great to see your name and mixes here.
You've been away too long, Gerry. Glad to see you back. Mix looks great. (track 13?)
welcome back, We need you around here
Lovely stuff indeed. Good to see you're getting better (just let it be all the time).
Back where you belong - hooray! Beautiful mix, really into Michael Chapman at the mo.
Great to see you back, Gerry! This mix looks fantastic.
It's been far too long Gerry! Your head is in a good place, music-wise & otherwise.....(I was looking at the Luther Grosvenor vinyl yesterday.)
welcome back Gerry and real nice, this is!!!
Absolutely delighted to see you have returned...you're a big reason I joined the board!
That COB (Clive's Own Band) entry looks particularly tantalizing.

I like the Agincourt and Chris Thompson especially. Welcome back, Gerry.
Beautiful
Oh, Gerry, this is just wonderful. I love the different ambiances you manage to create with each of your mixes. And the cover rocks my world.
A tough year but winding up on a good note, or rather a whole lot of good notes . . . far folk 'n out, as they might've said "way back in the 1960's".
Beautiful, Gerry, and it's good to hear that things are getting better. This is just a wonderful mix, and like Jenny, I love the cover. (PS: appreciate the Rikki Fulton too!)
Only recently developed a liking for folksy stuff of this era. Don't know all of this yet, but your strumming the right chords for me on the ones I do know. Good to see you back here, Gerry.
welcome home! Good to see that nothing has changed on the mix front. John Fahey does it for me . . .
ditto Gobi. great mix.
Oh man, so many great picks.
Yeah, welcome back Gerry, hopefully your fettle is as fine as this really lovely mix!
