Comment:
This is a little on the heavy side, but some lighter moments are in there. I don't particularly look for flow when I'm mixing. Just good tracks, and unless it's a themed thing, or a psych mix or something then I like to be shocked by my own choices on occasion. I hope you all enjoy it, and any practical criticism is always welcome.Feedback:
I think it meets your personal mix criteria, as stated above. A "rollercoaster ride" as I look at it.....
i like most of it, maybe i should skip the Skunk anananas but what it's your mix, and one cool thing i bougth Royal trux - Pound for pound today, don't know why i haven't done that before, it's really a great one
No criticism here! I like the Pumpkins' version of Sandoz better than The Animals...and the rest looks smashing as well!
VERY nice. I'll actually back up Scott on that one, even though I'm not the biggest Pumpkins fan of all-time. GREAT Huskers pick, btw.
Oh, I love your title, as well.
Nice job
Nothin' but praise from me Gerry, although I never would have guessed it was yours if your name wasn't on it.
gerry, do you ever stop? looks good, esp julian cope pick (great cover).
Cool mix and I love the title as well.
Congrats, Mr. McDonald! More Kool-Aid, Rev. Gerry!
Awwwriiiight Gerry! Gerald McDonald kicks ass! (sorry, I saw Heavy Metal Parking Lot last night) Seriously, congratulations on receiving the coveted Mix of the Week. Almost any one of your mixes would be worthy of that title. So how are you going to spend the money?
Congrats on getting a well deserved Mix of the Week, Gerry. May it be the first of many.
" a sure-enough Saint, who only wanted a halo for a crown...." Congratulations Gerry! (I guess saying "Encore!" would be superfluous....)
I would say "Girl Named Sandoz" is one of the weaker picks off "Pisces Iscariot" (or off the "Peel Sessions" disc for that matter). And I don't care for "Add It Up" much, I usually opt for "American Music" as far as the Femmes go. But there certainly is a consistent tone to the aritsts picked on this album.
long overdue, gerry. congrats! nice royal trux to pretenders segue.
WHERE did you get that liz phair track??
cool
I wanna ride this rollercoaster!
Congratulations to mix of the week Gerry! You deserve it!
I missed this one best I like it a lot!
tres cool, even if the beefheart track isn't on it...
