Comment:
Thanks to all for the kind remarks about the first two volumes of this series. This is the final one and I hope you all enjoy it. This is by no means a definitive series. Many great doo wop songs have appeared in a few of my previous mixes, such as "I saw a girl in my dreams" "It ain't the meat" "It's the motion" "A night on the town" and a few others. I don't like to duplicate tracks very often and that's why some classic doowop tunes do not appear here. This era was a great one for close harmony singing, and I really love this kind of music. I wonder if we are still around in fifty years time, will we still be listening to doowop. I hope so. It's either that or Britney Spears and N Sync.Feedback:
Wow! You got some collection of doo wop song. This is a fine series.
Sweet.
this is a great series. I'm gonna have to work harder to keep up with you as I'm gonna want these after I get all your psych mixes.
this! who'd want to listen to that other crap?
Wow! I obviously wasn't paying attention yesterday and missed this (too obsessed with finishing my Mood #2). Another excellent series, Gerry.I think we're due another trade soon?
A fine series, my friend. I'll want it all.
wonderful job on this three parter gerr...essential listening in my opinion...way too many faves for me to list...as to your fifty year question....rock and roll, it will stand.
looks very cool, Gerry!
Gerry..., a fantastic series and a fine tribute to some of the best vocal harmonization this (or any other) planet has ever heard! (I reckon your vault is as large as the Camelon aqueduct...!)
I second Valis. Your collection is deep as it is wide! Great stuff.
Great work, sir!
Stay in My Corner. A beautiful coda to a wonderful series, Gerry.
Hey, Gerry, my phone line's been down for two days, so I can't e-mail (or anything else, for that matter), but I'll get back to you in no time when I'm back on line. Cool mix. BTW.
and the joint keeps rocking! and don't worry about n sync, nobody will know them in 50 years anyway.
