Comment:

A trip through America with many great and lesser-known Jazz bands. All of this was recorded before 1950. If I've missed any of my friend's favourite states out, please forgive me. I couldn't find a song about Rhode Island. Valis, is Toledo near you?

Quite a state of affairs here Gerry. Lots of great stuff, haven't heard Chu Berry in much too long. I think you've outdone yourself with this one Gerry.

I'm not a big jazz fan, but I gotta respect this mix and your diversity on this site.

Leave it to Gerry to come up with a better American mix than most of the Americans! Ambitious and fun.

Nicely done! I've been contemplating a similar mix, but with routes and interstates included. Excellent job!

If you want a song for Rhode Island, one of my favourites is "Rhode Island is famous for you" as sung by the wonderful Blossom Dearie.
