Comment:
Lovely music which moves me. Quite a bit different from what I usually listen to, but what the heck! It's eclectic week, here in the McDonald household
Feedback:
awesome, sir
fela is nearly god to me
Wonderful Gerry. Love the Ali Farka Toure and King Sunny Ade tracks especially.
I'm afraid to say it, but I like to noodle around on the guitar to beats like this. Does that make me the next Brian Jones? Where to you FIND all these wonderful sounds?
Hi Gerard - looks like a great mix. I have several CDs by the aritists on your list. I lived in Kenya for 2 years and was turned on to how great African music is.
I am not yet in a CD mix club. Any suggestions?
I just made a mix (not on the site) I call Lights Out San Francisco with several bluesy late 60s early 70s sounds such as Dan Hicks, Quicksilver, J. Airplane, J. Lee Hooker, Jorma Kakaunen (sp?), and some outlyers like Free and Ravi Shankar.
All the best, Steve
