There is something so deliciously twisted about a punk cover. Something about hearing a song that you've heard a million times, and know all the words to, in a completely diffrent way.
My favorites have got to be the Marilyn Manson version of "Tainted Love" (Only he could make that song the more dark and demented that it already is) and the Zappa Brother's "Baby One More Time." If any anime fans out there haven't seen the Utena AMV to this song, find it, get it, watch it. It's awesome.
One more thing, I have to say thanks to the idiots who made "Not Another Teen Movie." It may have been a total crap hole movie but hearing those great '80's songs again made it worth watching and inspired this mix.
Oh, and for those who don't know Robbie Van Winkle IS the artist formerly known as Vanilla Ice so technically he covered his own song. Yep, he got a haircut and some grunge clothes and now trashes the stage while he screams about how much he hates all things "POP." So anyway if you haven't heard it, the new version is like hardcore rock and I just had to put it on here so I could see the look on people's faces when they realized what song it was... or used to be.... I'll shut up now.

P.S.: The pic is what I put on the CD label. I originally wanted it to be a pic of one of those Denny's breakfast platters where they like cover the whole plate in gravy but I couldn't find any pics of that. Oh well.
