Comment:
A Shadows/Light type mix. i.e. lots of different things which I like. Hopefully you will enjoy the way it fits together. First in a few mixes which will be named after quotes from some of my favourite movies. Can you guess this one?
Feedback:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Nice work daddy-o.
p.s. cuckoo's nest is one of my favorite books of all time as i'm sure i told you. the movie is good too, especially mr. jacky boy, but they changed too much from the book. i guess the essence was there but, ah i don't know. making chief a secondary character, relegating harding to being laughed at, not killing chiswyk...anyway, i like it a lot despite all that.
nicely done, Prof. Yes the book is much different from the film. I saw the film first and was bemused later when reading the book. It is pretty different, but great nonetheless. I'll have to pick something more difficult for you next time!
This looks excellent Gerry, especially the Shoppies, Breeders, Gorky's and a great Stone Roses pick. Trippy moving artwork too! You've come a long way from the time when you included no art whatsoever with your mixes. Will I need 3-D glasses for the next one? ;)
Really, really nice. Love the image here.
i am anticipating the next quote mr. mcdonald, and i am ready for it. i am fairly well versed in movies sir, so bring on the challenge.
marvellous stuff, loves almost everything on this, awesome cover too, I wish i could do artwork like this
Great mix, Gerry. And a great cover image too ( does it really do that on the CD cover :~p )Regarding Cuckoo's Nest, I thought the film was one of the best adaptations of a book going. A film that tried to 'do the book' would have failed because the book's imagery is internalised and doesn't lend itself to visual translation, IMO. Then again, maybe I should go and read it again as the last time was about 15 years ago. Looking forward to more quotes...
Look cool as always Gerry!
Yep.., nice one Gerry! (That image is freaky!..and therefore, very Gerry!)
the mix and cover are both cool. Great stuff, Gerry!
Great film, great book, great mix! LOVE that Buzzcocks song. The cover effect is too scary.
Actually, maybe the cover is scary because it evokes images of Emerson, Lake and Palmer (who, yes, I have a small weakness for).
Great stuff, Gerry. Wonderful. And you managed to pick one of only two OCS songs that I like...
Looks like a load of loony fun. :)
I like that OCS song too, and a lot of the rest. As for the cover...it would need a few steel rod piercings or mutilated female genitalia to be "really" Giger...
