I grew up a child of the '80s when music video had just started to take off. Even though now I am a huge Hip Hop fan, in the '80s during the genesis of music video there wasn't a large selection of Hip Hop videos to choose from, so I just watched whatever videos I was shown, thus causing me to become a fan of music in general. Hip Hop will always be first to me, but good music, no matter what genre will always find a way to get through to me.
