A 100-minute Valentine's Day mix made for no one in particular way back in 1994. The songs on side one express the sheer glee of that feeling we all crave called love. The songs on side two provide a less enthusiastic outlook on the subject. My other criteria was that the song had to include the word love. I ended up giving this mix to a cute neighbor, who ended up giving it to her boyfriend. Such is life. I might have a copy of it somewhere...

Excellent mix. I think you hit every single one of my favorite "love" songs, all the ones I can think of off the top of my head at least. Except of course for "Baby, I Love Your Way". Where's that one Ion? Um, this is where the smiley winking face would go if I knew how to do that. But I don't. So use your imagination.

why do people praise a mix of songs when they haven't ever heard them before? and why do people compliment the personality of someone they never had met just because they like their mix? Yes, my love life is going better, thank you. I got married last year (but not to the cute neighbor). I've only met two AOTMers in person (SueEW and Puckett), but I'd like to think many of the people who commented below don't think I'm an asshole, based on the correspondence I've had with them over the last 18 months. And as anyone who's seen "Spirit of '76" can tell you, there's nothing wrong with being an asshole.

I've resigned myself to the fact that assholes are a necessary evil. *I* personally don't identify with them, but they are the great motivators of the world. That's why assholes end up as managers. BTW, love the Chris Isaak, PWEI, Yello and Prefab Sprout picks.
