Comment:
A Paul Weller compilation (one of two), put together with the great help of my friend Stevie, who has just about every noise ever made by the man. Enjoy.Feedback:
Great! The most interesting thing about this mix, at least the Jam picks, is that there are almost no tracks that I would put on my own PW/Jam mix - he truly speaks differently to different people.
Nice career retrospective, though count me in with the camp that didn't stick around for the post-Jam era. And like Sean, intriguing how little overlap there is between your Jam selections and my own (though "Down In The Tube Station At Midnight" is one of the most poignant rock songs ever).
I've been diggin' Weller more than 25 years now and sure sometimes he have made me disapointed but he always made interesting stuff.
Mmmm..this is very, very nice. I love Paul and much of his output (there was a time in the late 80's when the Style Council got scary). I'm looking forward to seeing volume 2!
Fantastic Gerry.
Hi Gerry - glad to see that Butterfly Collector made it on to a mix. In my casual observations of Jam mixes on the site I do not recall seeing that song. I love it. Is there a great "must-have" Paul Weller solo cd in your opinion?
Thanks Steve. My personal fav Weller solo cds are WildWood and Stanley Road.
I am now an educated person thanks to this two disc set. Well done Gerry!
