I've been calling mixes "Nuclear Souffle" for fifteen years now. Ignore it; it will not hurt you.

Most of the 30's/40's novelty tracks here are from a two-disc collection called Mairzy Doats (Good Music Record Co.) The Honest Bob track is from a privately-pressed CD, It's Not As Bad As I'm Making It Sound. Every other source disc here is reasonably easy to find.

I wanted the version of the "Arabian Dance" without the spoken intro, but that version is on Spike Jones is Murdering the Classics and is a horrible remaster. I took the one from Spiked! instead and lopped off the intro myself. I also lopped off the last few seconds on the fade of "Miss America" to make it sound like it's being cut off by the sliding-door noise that begins "super."

This version of The Penguin is the one from Microphone Music, which has a sting from Toy Trumpet and an announcer's introduction at the beginning.
