This is the September mix, so I'm finally caught up :) This collection of odds and ends that wanted to be on previous mixes, but didn't make the cut, turns out to work better as a whole than I'd have thought, although getting some of these to segue well was a lost cause. The Tom Waits track includes its spoken intro; all the uncredited tracks are Combustible Edison bridge instrumentals from the Four Rooms soundtrack (and are each :30 long or less).Feedback:
Brilliant props for the Ashley MacIsaac tracks- I haven't heard 'Sleepy Maggie' in ages, + it was neat just to think about it. This seems really excellent. At a party, this would stop people in mid-conversation... in the good way. Out.
Ditto on the Ashley McIsaac song - that's a CD that has been neglected on my shelf for too long. And I love that Phil Oches song. Lots of great stuff here.
That Ashley MacIsaac CD is one of the ones which, when I remember it, I always think "Why don't I listen to it more often?"
hehe....I just saw four rooms for the first time this summer. this mix brings back memories. did you get the somgs off a soundtrack or dl them?
Soundtrack. Frankly, I think the soundtrack is the best thing about the film :)

I'd never even heard of Ashley MacIsaac, actually. But those two songs are terrific.
