Comment:
A tribute to my teenage years, when I was into prog. I am afraid it hasn't worn well over the years. I don't listen to prog much these days, preferring the sharper three minute type rock n roll thing, which I always loved anyway. However, these are still listenable, and I humbly think this is a nice relaxing mix, with some of my favs from the period which surreptitiously spawned another love of mine, punk, and some more up to date stuff in the same vein. enjoy.
Feedback:
yeah a real antidote to what happened in my world, Marillion man you pushing this too far ;), congrats to the latest victory, Henke is fact the king of Glasgow
"Marillion man"? P the Swede is hilarious! Some classics and total obscurities here. I like it.
..like the Tentacled ones at times these days myself....(quite a bit I've never heard.., but---that may *not* be such a bad thing....) there is no Gerry but Gerry, and Gerry is his name!
Hello Gerry! Welcome back......this mix is not my bag but....hey, Keep on rockin in the free world or something! Nice cover':-)
looks interesting, good to see you back
reminds me of my youth as well. smoking dope and seeing genesis or yes live. very risky.
Welcome back (again) Gerry! Looks like another cool mix. The Clap (the song, not the ailment) inspired me to take up the acoustic guitar, which I later gave up when I realized I'd never be 1/1000 as good as Steve Howe.
yes Gerry, three cheers for Yes, King Crimson, and ELP! The others are off my radar. Good to preserve the period/genre.
Ion makes a good point about "the clap". Great song and amazing guitar part. I must have tried that a thousand times - including once just week. I've concluded that Steve Howe has 4 arms.
