Comment:
I'm currently living in the Dominican Republic, and these are the songs that are heard CONSTANTLY - either issuing from the bar across the street, which donated its name to this mix, or from hTV - Dominican MTV. I didn't type the names with any of the accents, and you should be able to find them as such on the internet. If you've never heard of Aventura, I suggest you look into them. Pure, poppy, Latin delight. They play a brand of music called Bachata, which may or may not be specific to the DR. Their "Perdi el Control" samples "Axel F," which is quite funny. They also cover N'Sync's "Gone," but it was far too goofy to put on here. The other tunes are merengue and mainstream Latin. Two beautiful songs on this list are the Canto del Loco & Bacilos ones. If you play the Sergio Mendes song down here, you will see some serious ass-shaking. Nos vemos.Feedback:
Caray, que bueno. I will have to check out Aventura. Bachata, by the way, is popular in Central America too. Interesante, tambien, que un cantor brasile±o, Sergio Mendes, tiene tanta popularidad en RD.
I also lived in the DR for awhile and this is definitely THE mix for dancing down there. I have a VERY similar one myself. I'm a huge fan of Bacilos, Juanes, and even some of the classics like Juan Luis Guerra. The only change I would make is that the title of the song is: Live at Jimmy's and the artist is usally listed as Angie Martinez. Maybe you're talking about a different version than I know, but I've only found it on the internet listed the above way. Bien hecho!
well the song Live at Jimmy's the artist name is MAMAJUANA.. so fix that.. Mamajuana- Tomando Mamajuana(Live at jimmy's)..the Album name is FOR SALE
