Comment:

i do some work at a small town pub and recently tried to slip in some evan dando onto the stereo in the bistro for the patrons to enjoy. but my boss didn't agree - "it's not mood music" apparently. so i took this as a bit of a challenge - and decided to make up a bit of a mix to update the appallingly out of date current bistro cd collection (inc. celine dion, duets soundtrack, ballads compilation series... bleuurgh). i think most of this will blend in well as a bit of background "mood" music. any thoughts would be much appreciated. oh, and if you want to hear it for yrself, the pub is the telegraph hotel, chiltern in victoria. wednesday night is SCHNITZEL NIGHT :) - beef, chicken OR pork!!

by the way, the title isn't my opinion or the opinion of the majority of people who come in - it was just a nice, succint lil quote from a guy recently who came in and felt a little bit let down by the service and got quite emotional. poor fella, must be working too hard ;)

Hey Lucas! Remember me? You lost your AOTM virginity to me about 9 months ago and now I'm pregnant! Just kidding. Good to see you back with another mix. Looks like a great one (as does the other one as well). Perhaps we can try another trade sometime, especially now that you have a CD burner. Woo hoo!

hydeyho lucas! yeah, i know a couple of bistros here which could use some good "mood music" too. i would most definitely eat in a place which played sodastream and the like. too bad you're not closer to melb - as sodastream are playing there next month with perth's own benedict moleta (as well as bashful). love the bernie hayes pick "your boyfriend..."
