This mix is for the birds! Seriously, this looks like a fine mix. I'm trying to remember the words to Earn Enough For Us to find the bird reference, assuming there is one.
I think the bird on the cover of Skylarking is the bird reference. A really good mix, even if it goes against my "avoid having the same artist twice on the same mix" rule in a big way.
"Skylarking" itself is the bird reference. It was an excuse to get some gentler tracks into this mix. I don't mind the same artist more than once in a mix, but I am trying not to repeat myself, which is why "The Penguin" (Raymond Scott) isn't here - already used it. But it is sampled in the Soul Coughing track - probably the most obscure bird ref. in the lot.
