I wrote my friend Jim a letter telling him I'd just started dating a girl named Summer and, just to make him jealous, I told him that her favorite summersong was "Summer Flies" by Shelleyan Orphan. He promptly sent me a tape with almost the entire first side filled with summersongs. I finished off side one, filled the rest of side two and Summer soon had a tape with songs with her name somewhere in the song or title (lucky girl!). A little over two years later, she left this place. So, I made a charity record in her memory that's really just a mixtape. Eight of the songs on the album even have Summer in the title! I'd actually forgotten that I'd named this mixtape Songs For Summer because that's the name of the charity album too. Please go read about it at http://www.songsforsummer.com
