Comment:

I'd always wanted to make a tape of rain songs, so when I started hanging at KCR (San Diego State University's college radio station), I suddenly had access to tons of music and the brains of music dorks. I put a piece of paper on the wall asking for ideas for rain songs and the suggestions came, ahem, pouring in. I had never heard of most of these songs but on they went. This was one of three rain tapes I made that year. I didn't label them, so I didn't know which one I was sticking in. Sadly, the third and best one was stolen out of my car along with about 30 other MIX tapes (ouch!) On this one (#2), I also put appropriate bits of Rainman and the Little Mermaid in between songs. On the ends of the sides I mixed little bits of songs mentioning rain together behind the sounds of a thunderstorm. Oh, to have time on my hands......
