Comment:
Haven't been around for a while, and hope all my friends are doing real well, and enjoying the summer wherever you may be.Under the influence of the writer, philosopher, and serious "head" Robert Anton Wilson (Hence The Title), I decided to do a spacey mix. Surprise surprise. This one goes from the sixties to the nineties and beyond. I was turned on to Robert Anton Wilson by the inestimable Valis. For that I am eternally grateful, and I'm sure he must be fed up by now with me always telling him how grateful I am! So I put in a grateful dead track in his honour, even though he doesn't particularly like them. I'm sure he'll forgive me though and understand the sentiment. Sorry Valis, just couldn't come up with another band with the name Grateful in it!Peace, Love and Understanding (What's so funny about that!?!) to all. Enjoy.
Feedback:
After spending a rockin' psychedelic weekend in the woods with the cosmic one himself, I'm sure he'll love this offering, I certainly do myself. Lots of great selections.
Nice one, Gerry.RAW used to live near where I live (Howth Castle, mentioned in CT3 I think) but moved back to the US shortly before I arrived here...musta heard I was coming.
Hey Cam! Thanks for the nice remarks. Heard you had a great time at the festival, in spite of the problems, with the weather and the promoters. Gary! Glad to hear you lived near RAW. Some of his greatness has rubbed off onto you and made your mixes so good! something to do with the 100th monkey thing.
looks like a gerry mix ;) which is fine with me
Any mix that starts with Timothy Leary and ends with the Fugs has to be far freakin' out!!
Nice mix. Gong, Ultimate Spinach, wow.
Although I eye most "oracles" and "sages" with something that stretches way past skepticism, you're a fine mixmaker and friend. This mix is no exception.
Wonderful Gerry. Love the Gong -> Grateful Dead especially.
nice one. Does, uh...
Grateful Dawg count.....???
Grateful Dawg count.....???
Super spacey indeed! Good to see you back, Gerry. And 5d - man I love that song.
Looks excellent Gerry! We gotta get that trade thing going again before the year is over. In the meantime, keep reaching for the stars...
Gerry..., no apology necessary, on any count. Mix looks like a winner, top-to-bottom! Space is the place....
looks really cool. I love how you mix the old and the new
No necessarily my cup o' tea, but in its way, well, this looks like quite a nie mix indeed. ;)
Very diverse, and appealing! Haven't said Hi for ages, but I hope you are doing great.I need to check this guy out. the first R. Wilson that came to mind is the avant-garde choreographer R. Wilson. on to google.
So much groovy stuff on here, especially digging the Donovan, Love & George Harrison...and that Dead is an off-beat choice.
Beautiful! Most enjoyable.., and that Bevis Frond track gets stuck on repeat in my cd player...deliberately. Thank you!
