I've always had a deep emotional and intellectual attachment to punk rock, but i never seem to fit in to punk rock communities. Imagine my joy when several not-so-punk friends wanted to start a band with me. I made four friends a primer mix tape--since they didn't have much listening experience--so that we would have a common vocabulary to point to. I.E. "I want to sound like submission hold but with more expansive song structures like 2.5 Children, with an occassional brutally fast part like anal cunt." If you know what i mean.
