Comment:

Influenced by Hunter S. Thompson's classic book Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, this is an obvious drug themed mix. No one can deny the impact that drugs has had on music, movies, literature and history in general. Mind bending narcotics can have a debilitating effect on ones mind and soul but it also can be a catalyst for creativity and experimentalism. The proof is in these songs (and a thousand others). I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the drugs didn't work we wouldn't have the great innovations found in the music above.

I like it. Some really great tracks on here. In the immortal words of Lester Bang: "Jim Morrison? He's a drunken buffoon, posing as a poet... Nah man, give me the 'Guess who.' They had the courage to BE drunken buffoons, which made them poetic." Jesus, did I say that, or just think it? Out.

Nice job. I love that you included "Tomorrow Never Knows," possibly my favorite drugged-out sounding song of all time.

Drugs and music? I don't see it. Oh wait, there a re a FEW drug songs now that I about it. There's something to be said about illicit substances and the quality of music, because there are some killer songs here. Mr Phamacist and Styrchnine being two of my faves. And that's a killer Flamin Groovies song.

How did I miss this one? Excellent choices! Love that Stones track, and the "Bogart" song from Easy Rider... not a bad song on here. Righteous.
