I run a monthly indie-pop tape/CD-R swap, this is my compilation for August 2003. The recipient didn't have any specific requests, so I used a random number generator in excel to pick out the CDs, LPs and 7"s that make up this mix. To add a further thematic sweep, each song on side 1 has some link to its sister on side 2. For instance, the leadoff track on each side is a solo outing by a former member of a 60's band (The Zombies and Love, respectively). Some of the links are rather tenuous, for instance the last songs are connected because they are the last songs! In any case, this tapes provides a respectable peek at my music library.
