Comment:

Another Old McDonald mix whipped up for my old friend Gerry, who I haven't traded with in ages. We're long overdue! Knowing Gerry, he's probably already familiar with all of this -- some of these songs have previously appeared on his mixes. Unlike past Old McDonalds, all of this is at least 30 years old, with the exception of the first track (which fits in with the rest and inspired the title). Thanks to sir Valis for the Aerovons. I just moved, so I'm a bit behind on trades -- so bare with me!

outrageously good, Ion, old chum. Many thanks for the kind words and I can't wait to get trading with everyone soon, and to get a copy of this. Things have been fairly hectic recently, but hopefully I 'll get back to some serious trading with old friends such as yourself.

If Old McDonald had a farm would he keep cheetahs? Why not. Excellent Ion.

Nice. In our 2005 trade, this should be a featured attraction. ;-)

Holy Barabajagal! Attack of the hippies! Is that the Herd, as in Peter Frampton? Some great tunes here, and tons I don't know. Ion, you crazy kook, you.

This looks great. Except the only groups here I am anyway familiar are the hollies and blossom toes. Is the rest bubblegum psychedelia or what. You are definately in a league of your own.

lemon pipers is a band i wish would have started earlier, and broken up later because they really had a knack for great pop tunes.. not to mention psychedelia.. that's my only comment since i don't know any other bands on here, ah ha.

and I didn't comment on this, either, my friend. Sorry, must've missed it. And what did I miss! Another exquisite instalment in the series. Hope I get a chance to spin this soon . . .

Moe, I received this CD the other day and I haven't stopped playing it since. This is one excellent CD, man. I love it. Where do you find these gems? All of these tracks are really psychedelic. My favorites are, "Psychedelectronica," "Over Under Sideways Down," "Shadows," "Eyes of Kazan," "Bessy Goodheart," "One Way Cleaners" and "Land of Oz." I play "Over Under Sideways Down" over and over again. As a matter of fact, the cover version of "Over Under Sideways Down" gave me an idea for a mix. All I can say is that you do an excellent job of mixing these long forgotten psychedelic gems from the past. I also have a copy of your mix, "Old McDonald Takes a Trip," another excellent mix. I must admit that your mixes are the only mixes that I make extra copies for myself. I make an extra copy of your mixes because I'm afraid I might lose the original. I always play the copies and I keep your original copies in a safe place. I would like to do some more trading with you of this "Old McDonald" series. I love this series. Keep up the excellent work.
