Another mix made for Aussie Lucas Mayhew, in exchange for his "It's Time to Take Out Your Earplugs" mix, posted earlier today. He requested a "soundtrack to the impending summer," so this is what I came up with. Thanks to zachrobbins for the excellent Essex Green and Valis once again for the awesome Aerovons, whose "Everything's Alright" is one of the catchiest songs ever written, at least to these pointy ears.

I'd forgotten how good that Pale Saints song is. Funny how some songs about summer remind you of autumn (sorry, fall) - 'feels like summer' by Al Green for example...

Yeah, you're the master of summery mixes. The mix you made me I saved for the warm weather. It just felt like that kind of album, and it was great listening to it all summer.

Summer? Summer?! This is depressing, to these Minnesota ears, but I bet those Australians will eat it up. I agree with Sean about the Kinks pick, and that 'Mats song is probably my favorite of theirs. Really does get me in the mood for summer, I just have to wait another nine months now.
