Comment:

With the Halloween deadline quickly approaching (as well as some prodding by an anonymous AOTMer), I finally got around to posting my Frankenstein mix. Like some of the others, it only exists on paper. Burning it to CD would only create an unlistenable mess. You know the routine:
1. A song from the last record you bought

2. A blues: not necessarily a blues record but a song that

is labeled (something) blues

3. A song that gets you going in the morning

4. A song that you think is romantic

5. One of the earliest records that you can remember listening to.

6. A song that you discovered from a film

7. A song from your favorite band / artist

8. A song from an artist band that you otherwise don't like,

but like this one

9. A Lullaby.

10. A song that makes you laugh / you find funny

11. A really good cover version

12. A song that reminds you of school days

13. A song from an artist that you are embarrassed to admit

you like

14. Whatever it is, it's got to be funky

15. A song for those quiet rainy days

16. A song that no matter when you hear it makes you Feel-good

17. A song with the word Look in the title

18. From a member of the Dead rockers society

19. Your favorite Elvis song.

20. Wildcard Hey, just put any song you like on!

whoa (oh)(oh)(oh)...(tell-tale triple dot signature):great formatting, dude! (and clever double entendre title.

nice work getting this in just under the wire, Ion. Great picks all around...esp #'s 2, 7, 9, 15 & 18 (luv those Crosstown backing vocals).

That's the best cover I've seen for one of these and one of the best covers in general. And it's a fab mix to boot.

Love the Toto and Rush inclusions, if only for their grotesque angling...And don't rule out putting this to an actual CD...I burned mine and it's actually quite a story of sorts...Almost time capsule-ish...In any event, GREAT picks...

I definitely demand you burn this to CD for me, my man. And I can only paraphrase what the lovely buglady said about my humble offer in this series: I guess this gives us a taste of the "real" Koko-Moe (Rush, Toto, The Smiths, Redbone!!!). Stay as sick as you are . . .;)

Well Ion.., you've "gone shootin' " with that AC/DC track.., great Redbone, too. You sure Rush fits that #8 slot, or is it more a #13..? Hey, did you watch over the men that fell....?

Yeah, but at least you only put Rush as your #8 not your #13 ;-)Great picks once you strip it down; I mean most of us wouldn't dream of burning these mixes but you probably would if it ran some ordering that excluded 10, 12 & 13 (and maybe also 5 & 8).

I think I can answer SueEW's question, Ion. I belive the film is "But I'm A Cheerleader"...right? Damn, looks like I'm gonna have to do a Frankenstein mix too.
