the end of this tape really tore me up, especially the fact that it ends with the word 'goodbye.' an awful lot of these songs have personal meanings.... black hole sun was 'our song.' big boring wedding is 'my song.' throwing muses and the magnetic fields and aimee mann and suzanne vega were all concerts we went to together. he gave me the french pop cd the heavenly's on for my birthday. i got foxbase alpha by saint etienne for his birthday. i got the tindersticks cd when we went to new york together.... it's so upsetting to miss somebody a week before you go anywhere, because it's dread more than anything. well, enough self-analysis. that's all.
