Comment:

It's been a while since I did a punk mix, and I do love punk music. It's what I was listening to when I was 14 years old, and that energy still moves me, a quarter of a century later. I suppose there's a case for saying The Jam were not punks, and the Stranglers were "Too old, Doors clones", and The Cure and Dr Feelgood were never punk. Hell, there's a few bands here who could never really be termed punks, and a few true greats missing (Clash, Pistols, Ramones) But hey, It's my mix, and I like them! Zeitgeist is the key word here. The title is from the sublime Jam track. Enjoy!

this is fantastic. these remind me of being 14, too (though a decade too late, in '91). that atv tune is one of my favorites; ambition has the greatest organ intro ever, and public image the best bassline.

Just noticed this and it's fantastic - I love the Skids, Buzzcocks, Gang of Four and Stiff Little Fingers especially! Thanks for the comments on my mixes too - I'd definitely be up for a trade sometime. (And yes, I think we may be the only Scottish mixers, but two is better than none I suppose! :) )
