Dead people. We lost some pure legends this year. Here's the tribute album. And since the year isn't over yet, it may be added to.

I also realize that these are some of these folks most well known songs. In most cases, they are signature songs. The exceptions being titles that would be in bad taste (IE, Staying Alive)

Adding Sam Phillips to the list is an executive decision. He had such an impact on the future of music, I felt he deserves that spot. And this is set up as a cassette, because it was the only way I could get all of the songs I wanted on this list.
