This was the mix I made for my sister for the 2003 holidays. These used to be "best new music of the year" mixes, but I don't accumulate "new" music at the rate I used to.

The flow of the mix works better on the ears than it looks on paper. Still, the leap from Fountains Of Wayne to Mad Capsule Markets is big. The shock value works to move things along at the start, though.

I spent nearly nothing on music in 2003. Between file sharing, "found" freebies and CMJ discs, this is what the result was. A very poor representation of new releases in 2003, but a mix that ended up, in my estimation, worth posting.
