This past new year's eve I hosted an 11.5 hour program called New Wave New Years on WMBR, the purpose of which was to play songs from the late 70's early 80's as a soundtrack for listener get-togethers. I use the term New Wave loosely, so traditionalists who scowl "that song isn't new wave!" are probably correct. During this particular section of the program I tried to play familiar artists doing songs that weren't their biggest hits. Listening back, I could've made much better Fixx and Altered Image choices to fit the theme and the Sigue Sigue Sputnik kinda sticks out, but I particularly enjoy the way this mix begins and ends. It is a mix, I burned it down to disc while OTA without interruption. I'll be posting other NWNY mixes in the future, thanks for looking!
