Comment:
This past new year's eve I hosted an 11.5 hour program called New Wave New Years on WMBR, the purpose of which was to play songs from the late 70's early 80's as a soundtrack for listener get-togethers. I use the term New Wave loosely, so traditionalists who scowl "that song isn't new wave!" are probably correct. This particular section of the program focused on songs that were ignored by mainstream radio but found life on the burgeoning college radio scene of the early 80's. There are a few commercial bands thrown in, though I selected very early cuts for their contribution to the mix. The only change I would make is to trade the Reds song here with the Spizz song on the next mix, it would have worked better! I burned this mix down to disc while OTA without interruption. I'll be posting other NWNY mixes in the future, thanks for looking!Feedback:
Cool. A mighy enthusiastic tip of the hat for the 100 Flowers - a band that is a sadly under appretiaciated. Everything is good to my ears, especially the MoB and Bongos.
like this a lot
