Comment:
A handful of singles and an unreleased album for the now-mythical Postcard Records. 3 albums and an EP for Polydor. That's all Orange Juice produced, and yet their influence can still be felt today. Citing the Byrds, Creedence Clearwater Revival, the Velvet Underground, Can, and Brian Eno as major influences (along with their almost contemporaries the Slits, the Subway Sect, and the Buzzcocks), they created artsy pop music with effected lyrics for whomever cared to listen. This is where the wonderful songwriting and crooning of Edwyn Collins begins. Made for Samantha. "Funky Glasgow Now," baby.Feedback:
just why ALL OJ's material is not on CD and just why they are not considered to be one of the UKs finest bands of the 80s is a complete mystery.
Any ideas?
Any ideas?
It's criminal that all of their Polydor output is only on CD in Japan.
