Comment:

Mix #9. Made in late August of 2002. The book theme was Stephen King's The Talisman (I'm a bit of a King fan, you see). The secondary theme was the REVELATION of a world never before experienced, surpassing past notions of both danger and wonder. If this mix were divided into four, I would consider the 3rd quadrant somewhat weak and the other 3 quite strong. This is the mix where I started finding songs that I though resonated very well with the book theme in one way or another. "Blister" contains the lyrics "And how long would it take me, to walk across the United States, all alone," which is what the main character in The Talisman sets out to do. And the world he discovers is indeed, to quote "Echo", "something infinitely interesting".
