Comment:
I'm quite fond of this mix, which I did recently for my nephew Tim. It's put together the same way I do most of my mixes: pretty selfishly, just including the very best of my current favorite and recent finds. However, even though there's a bit of a mix of stuff, it is all actually mixed together and flows quite nicely. As you can see, it's a mix of 60s and 70s easy listening, soft and psychedelic pop, brazilian pop, and soundtracks. There are actually a couple of modern tracks on there, but they're both very much in the style of 60s/70s Brazilian pop.
The most obscure track is probably the kind of amazing 'No one was there' by Gates of Eden, which was actually written and produced by the great arranger Claus Ogerman, the influence of whom is heard on many of the other tracks.

Feedback:
Excellent, again. I love that slick 'n' smooth Ogerman sound.
I have a strange feeling I'd like much of this...nice cover!
This is mostly terra incognita to me but looks very intriguing - do you get this stuff off of old vinyl, or what?
Hi Joey de vivre,
Some of it is from vinyl, but actually all but maybe two tracks here are available on CD, either on psych/easy listening compilation discs or single artist reissues and compilations. Japan is a particularly strong source of reissue CDs, but there's a ton of great stuff in Brazil these days as well.

This mix looks pretty fantastic. Sorry I missed it the first time around. I'm still enjoying the discs you sent me a couple years ago. Hope you find time to post again -- it's been too long!
