Comment:
This is my first attempt at drawing together my favorite Percy Faith tracks from the later part of his career. It's kind of a tricky task. Most of the Percy Faith albums from this era I've heard are a mixed bag, as if he was trying to please several different audiences simultaneously. He did lots of 'funky' tracks that wind up sounding rather tacky, but some of them work well. He also did some incredibly beautiful and gently groovy sounding stuff around the end of the mood music era. I expect there will be a volume 2, since Faith recorded half a dozen very promising looking albums around this time that I haven't yet heard. Still, this is a nice start. The opener, 'Insensatez' is one of two tracks from the mid-1960s; most of the rest is from the late 60s and mid 70s.
