The title comes from an "inside joke" with a friend of mine. This mix turns on the incredible Tom Waits tune. Why "I hope I don't fall in love with you, I hope you don't fall in love with me, I think I just fell in love with you"? So I made up the story. Guy's looking for love, Guy finds girl, the flirting begings. All of a sudden the Waits tune hits, Whats going on here-it was going good. The Marshall Crenshaw tune explains. "lets forget about your boyfriend...". Still its looking good for a while but then trouble in paradise. It becomes one sided. The Glass Bead Game represents how fragile (glass) love is and indeed love is a game. How does this end? Is it Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan boy gets the girl (vote for The Cure's High) or is it Humphrey Bogart walking away from Ingrid Bergman ala Cassablanca even though they love each other ( vote for Ten CC's I'm Not In Love.
