Comment:
CD 2 of the Mix, called "Night". I have artwork for these CDs, but it wasn't uploading very well. The songs on this mix are more for a night time. It's upbeat, but it's dark as all hell. It kicks off with a blistering Interpol song, which makes you wish were sitting in a dark pub, wondering how to take over the world. Songs like "Not For Long" by The July 26 Movement and Phantom Planet's "Always On My Mind" (Phantom Power of "The O.C." fame, although that song came out a good 2 years before the show did) are piano driven. A mash-up of Oasis and Marvin Gaye by Go Home Productions always gets the crowd going, and from track 11 on, there's nothing better to do than just chill and listen to it as it comes to a close.
Feedback:
don't get me wrong, I like the "day" mix, but there's just something about this one... I especially dig the Queen-to-J5 ending.
Ditto trg1980 - both really nice mixes, but the atmosphere of this one just gives it the edge! I like your description of the (great) Interpol track - the Rapture and Police choices are good too.
