Comment:

I actually think this mix works for the most part - tracks 1-11, outside of the Billy Talent track are really smooth.

1. A song from the last record you bought
2. A blues, a song that is labelled "(something) blues"
3. A song that gets you going in the morning
4. A song that you think is romantic
5. One of the earliest records that you can remember listening to
6. A song that you discovered from a film
7. A song from your favourite band/artist
8. A song from an artist band that you otherwise don't like, but like this one
9. A lullaby
10. A song that makes you laugh or you find funny
11. A really good cover version
12. A song that reminds you of school days
13. A song from an artist that you are embarrassed to admit you like
14. Whatever it is, it's got to be funky
15. A song for those quiet rainy days
16. A song that no matter when you hear it makes you feel good
17. A song with the word "look" in the title
18. From a member of the "dead rockers society"
19. Your favourite Elvis song
20. Wildcard

I saw someone else do this, and I figured I might as well. It actually turned out nicely!

A few notes:

1: Bedouin Soundclash is a local band here signed to Stomp Records. They're a reggae band, and they're talented as hell. Check out their website, it's their name.
3: The Velvet Teen's "Radiapathy" I found on the MTV website of all places. See the video and you'll know why it's a GREAT wake up song.
4: (and #2 I guess) I love Ryan Adams' music. I'm the only one who will listen to ANY song he does, I think.
7: Ben Kweller, if you were a woman, I'd marry you.
9: I'm Irish, so hearing Ray Charles do a wonderful Irish lullabye my mother used to sing to me makes me a happy guy.
10: Nothing like following a great lullabye up with a song about soft fucking.
20: Cuff the Duke is a tremendous alt-country band from Canada. You can download this track off their website (which is cufftheduke.com) and you'll see why. It BELONGS in a movie.

To be fair, usually on quiet rainy days, I'm going to be listening to Radiohead in the first place, and when I saw them play this summer, it blew my mind so much. They opened the show with it, and I nearly lost it. Since then...
