Comment:
The first of two psych/garage/punk cover versions. This one feature tracks either written by, or covered by, the "Big Four" sixties artists. All of these versions are interesting, but I prefer the originals in almost all cases, but these are still, in my humble opinion, worth hearing. Unfortunately, the sound quality varies because of the recording techniques used at the time. The only track chronologically not at home here is the Lightning Seeds pick, which I like a lot, and anyways it would have fitted in nicely at the time. I delved deeply into the "Electronic Sitar Psychedelic Headswirlers" 9cd set, Rubble vols 1-20 (Thanks to Sean Lally) and a few other psychy collections, along with my own stuff. Enjoy!

another classic mcdonald mix
Lookin' good Gerry. Though I'm familiar with narly all of these songs I don't know too many of these versions.
Damn this is good stuff. Odd choice throwing in the Lightning Seeds, but I'm sure it sits well.
Wow...I'm with lo-fi jr on this one Gerry. Don't think I've heard any of these versions and, of course, I'd like to, so, to the pile please.
Ditto ThisIsPop!
Looks fantastic as ever - first half is especially intriguing!

This looks fantastic!
Great mix, as usual!
Nice concept and exceptional selection of tracks and artists!
Looks like a "must have" mix Gerry. We gotta to get another trade goin' my little friend.
Yep, the idea and execution are both fantastic.
Great, great, great idea and execution!
Exactly what Sean said.
