Welcome to the wild and wacky world of filmi. India is the largest and most prolific movie-producing country in the world. All commercial films produced in India are musicals; "filmi" is the term for Indian film music. Filmi incorporates ALL musical styles in the world, set to Indian harmonics. In this mix, which consists of some of the weirdest and wackiest pop-oriented music ever, you will hear 1940s swing, cha cha cha, 1980s synth-pop, Hawaiian slide-guitar, and even strains of "Johnny B. Goode," Europe's "The Final Countdown," and the beat from the 1986 version of "Walk this Way" by Aerosmith and Run-D.M.C.! Languages heard in this mix are Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali.
